On the evening of the 29th, the Meishan Port area of Zhoushan Port in Ningbo was bustling with over 1600 domestically produced cars boarding at the Meixi Roll on/Roll off Terminal for shipment to Europe.

This kind of busy scene has been very common this year. According to statistics from Ningbo Customs, in the first half of this year, Ningbo Port exported over 120000 cars, with an export value of 11.74 billion yuan, an increase of 61.1% and 33.2% year-on-year, respectively.

The cars exported to overseas markets are mainly passenger cars, with an export value of 11.47 billion yuan, accounting for 97.7% of the total automobile exports at Ningbo Port. The export volume of new energy vehicles is about 28000, with an export value of 3.33 billion yuan, accounting for 23.5% and 28.4% respectively.

The United Arab Emirates and Belarus are the main export markets, with Ningbo Port exporting 1.83 billion yuan and 1.26 billion yuan respectively to these two countries. The export to Brazil, as an emerging export market, has been very pronounced, with an export value of 840 million yuan in the first half of the year, compared to only 610000 yuan in the same period last year.

“This year, we seized the opportunity to stabilize traditional markets such as Europe while vigorously exploring emerging markets such as Brazil, and are committed to changing the low-end image of domestic export cars. In the second quarter, our export average price increased by 7.2% compared to the first quarter, "said Chen Xue, the head of Ningbo Xiaohe Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.

In recent years, China's automobile exports have entered the fast lane and became the world's largest automobile exporting country last year. As the only vehicle import and export port in Zhejiang Province, Ningbo Meishan Port's automobile export containers and roll on/roll off routes currently cover the Middle East, North America, South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, attracting automobile import and export enterprises from all over the world with intelligent and convenient customs clearance conditions.

For example, regarding the export of new energy vehicles, Ningbo Customs has implemented a "one-stop" supervision model for container exports of new energy vehicles, creating a new energy vehicle export platform that integrates all aspects of vehicle collection, inspection, loading, and shipment, greatly simplifying the export process. The time from vehicle collection to loading has been shortened by two to three days
