At 11:18 a.m. on March 10, the first pile of the Hangzhou Bay Sea-crossing High-speed Railway Bridge of the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-speed Railway was drilled in Haiyan County, marking the official commencement of the offshore project of the world's longest sea-crossing high-speed railway bridge. This is also another important progress of the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo high-speed railway after the first pile foundation of the whole line was successfully drilled in Ningbo on January 15 this year.
From Nantong West Station to Zhangjiagang, Changshu, Suzhou in Jiangsu Province, and Jiaxing and Ningbo in Zhejiang Province, the high-speed railway has a total length of 309.8 kilometers, 10 stations and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
The Hangzhou Bay Sea-crossing High-speed Railway Bridge is one of the key control projects of the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-speed Railway. It is located at the upstream of the Hangzhou Bay Highway Bridge, starting from Haiyan County in Jiaxing in the
north, and connecting Cixi in Ningbo in the south after crossing the Hangzhou Bay. The total length of the bridge is 29.2 kilometers, and the total design period is 5 years.
After the completion of the high-speed railway bridge, it will be the world's longest high-speed railway bridge across the sea with the highest construction standard, and also the world's first high-speed railway bridge across the sea with strong tidal bay, ultra-low water resistance and fully buried bed pile group foundation, which is of milestone significance in the history of global bridge construction.
Since the first pile foundation of the whole line of Tongzhou-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo high-speed railway was successfully drilled in Ningbo at the beginning of this year, the construction of Ningbo section of Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo high-speed railway is being fully accelerated. Yesterday, the construction unit of the Ningbo section, CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Bureau, obtained the construction permit issued by the maritime department. That is to say, the Ningbo section of the Hangzhou Bay Sea-crossing High-speed Railway Bridge is expected to achieve offshore test pile drilling in the near future.
At the same time, the 13.5-kilometer-long onshore project of Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo high-speed railway in Cixi, which passes through Andong Town, Changhe Town, Zonghan Street, Chongshou Town, and Kandun Subdistrict, also started land acquisition recently. Among them, 22 households in 3 villages of Zonghan section have been cleared.
In addition to the land acquisition and demolition work, the station construction work is also fully accelerated. Among the two stations of Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo high-speed railway in Ningbo section, Cixi Station is a new high-speed railway station, and Zhuangqiao Station is reconstructed from the current station. At present, the relevant design work of Cixi Station is being accelerated. Some reconstruction works of Zhuangqiao Station have been implemented in July last year. In the future, the third and fourth line from Zhuangqiao to Ningbo can be used to introduce Ningbo Station.
In 2027, the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo high-speed railway is expected to be fully connected. After the completion and opening to traffic, it will be connected with the Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line, Hangzhou-Ningbo Passenger Dedicated Line, Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Railway and other railways. The Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo high-speed railway will also be connected with Ningbo's "Century Project" - Ningbo West Hub. At that time, Ningbo people can pass through Hangzhou Bay in a few minutes by sitting on the high-speed railway.
In the future, Ningbo will benefit from this south-north corridor, greatly shorten the space and time distance with the major cities in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta, and is expected to realize the vision of "1-hour traffic circle" from Ningbo to Suzhou, Shanghai and other major cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and "5-hour traffic circle" from Ningbo to Beijing. At the same time, Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo high-speed railway will better meet the needs of Ningbo people for business talk, tourism travel, resource exchange and other related needs, promote the commercial development around the railway stations, and provide strong support for the better economic and social development of Ningbo
