2nd China Marine Economic Investment Fair opened in Ningbo

Last Saturday, the 2nd China Marine Economic Investment Fair kicked off in Ningbo. The three-day event features the 8th China Ocean Forum, the China Ocean Expo and the China (South) International Seafood Expo.

Jointly organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Government and State Oceanic Administration (SOA), the 2nd China Marine Economic Investment Fair is themed at  "developing the knowledge to support the marine economy". The event features products shows, high-end forums, promotions and negotiations, contracts signing, and personnel recruitment.

During the event, a promotion fair will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel, and a number of contracts on high-quality marine economy will be signed. Zhejiang Province plans to set up about 90 sea-related projects with a total investment of over 230 billion yuan, most of which are the high-tech projects.

The 8th China Ocean Forum will focus on marine sustainable development. As a new content, the 1st China (South) International Seafood Expo has attracted more than 200 companies, with 10 percent as international buyers.

In the main exhibition hall, the organizing committee has set up a China pavilion, a coastal provinces pavilion, a Zhejiang coastal cities' pavilion, and a pavilion for China (South) International Seafood Expo. Products representing the highest level of China's marine industry are on display, including the models of China's first deep-water drilling rig CNOOC 981, and the deep-sea manned submersible, Jiaolong. Besides, the organizers will give off first day covers autographed by divers to visitors.
