According to updated news from Ningbo Housing Construction Committee, in 2012 Ningbo has overfilled the task for the construction of low-price houses for low-income earners. By the end of December in 2012, the city built 11,114 sets of low-price houses, solving the housing problem for 7,000 low and middle-income families. The city started the construction of 28,076 sets (2.2077 million sq m) of economically affordable houses, including 18,010 sets of houses for low-income earners.

Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Government have always attached great importance to the housing for the low-income earners. The tasks of the low-price housing are part of the assessment for the county and district governments.

The large scale construction of low-price housing for low-income earners has benefitted more low and middle-income families. On this foundation, the city has improved the system for the construction and management of the houses, and perfected the housing security policies, so as to benefit the people in need.

Statistics show that by the end of 2012, Ningbo started to build 18,010 sets of low-price houses for low-income earners, including 13,902 low rent houses, benefitting 3,054 families. The city provided 1,792 flats of affordable and functional houses to the low-income households and 2,180 sets of limiting price houses. All this overfills the tasks Zhejiang Provincial government assigned to Ningbo.
