Ningbo athletes win 5 medals in University Games

Ningbo athletes won one gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the 9th National University Games (NUG) ended Tuesday in Tianjin Olympic Sports Center.

Zhejiang delegation sent over 250 athletes and coaches, including 26 athletes from Ningbo University, and other athletes from Ningbo colleges and universities. On September 11, the men's table tennis team took a bronze medal by beating Jiangsu team 3-0, winning the first record medal for Zhejiang Province. Both the two players, Kangcheng and Wang Xuesong, are from Ningbo University. On September 13, Qian Jiayan, a sophomore of Ningbo University, won a bronze medal in the Women's Shot Put with a score of 14.58 m, winning the first medal in the track and field for Zhejiang delegation. On the afternoon of 13th, Kangcheng and Wang Xuesong won a silver medal in the table tennis men's doubles final.
