Qianwan New Area Began

Recently, it was learned from the State Grid Ningbo Hangwan Power Supply Company that the first pile of the Hangwan 500 kV transmission and transformation line project was drilled, and the first 500 kV substation in Qianwan New Area was started.

The 500 kV substation and its transmission lines are the "arteries" of cross-regional power transmission and the basis for ensuring the stable supply of electricity.

After the project is put into operation, it will provide power guarantee for the development and construction of the mature industrial zone of Qianwan New Area, the blank plot of reclamation from Eleventh Pond to Twelve Ponds, Cixi High-tech Industrial Zone, and Yuyao Sino-Italian Ecological Park, optimize the power grid structure of the northern supply area of Ningbo, and realize the improvement of the power grid structure in Ningbo region.

It is understood that the Hangwan 500 kV transmission and transformation line project is expected to be completed in June next year, and the substation is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in March 2025.

After all projects are completed and put into operation, 2 million kVA of new substation capacity will be added, and the length of the new line will be 43.4 kilometers, providing strong support for the construction of power grid in northern Ningbo
