The waterside recreational belt project started

According to a meeting on the work of tourism, the project of the "three-river-and-six-bank" waterside recreational belt will start this year in an overall way. The project of the "three-river-and-six-bank" waterside recreational belt aims to link all the scenic spots on the Yuyao River, the Fenghua River and the Yongjiang River.

In addition, the city will start the making of the Plan for the Development of Recreational Streets of Ningbo to further upgrade a number of historic streets including the Drum Tower and Town's God Temple. It will start the construction of a number of recreational projects including the 2nd phase of Nantang Old Street and Lianqiao Street. The construction of business and recreational district of Laowaitan will be started. Yuehu Shengyuan Shopping Center and the boating service program will be upgraded.

According to a related authority of Ningbo Municipal Tourist Administration, in 2012 Ningbo ranks the 2nd position in terms of the indexes of the tourism industry in Zhejiang, the 6th place of the 15 quasi-provincial cities in China for the total income in tourist. The total investment for the 98 tourism projects reaches 124.289 billion yuan. The investment completed in 2012 in these projects amounts to 11.551 billion yuan, covering 4% of the total social investment in fixed assets.
