Trade volume of Ningbo air import and export over＄2.1 billion

Ningbo airport economy develops fast. The trade volume of Ningbo air import and export in the first half of year, according to Ningbo Customs, has exceeded ＄2.1 billion, up by 5.5% over the same period of 2012. 
    The trade volume with the European Union and the United States, the two major trade partners, has reached ＄620 million and ＄290 million respectively. The trade volume of the foreign capital enterprises, the main importer and exporter, has achieved ＄1.29 billion, up by 8% over the same period.  
    Compared with the traditional sea transport, air transport is faster and more convenient. 
With the establishment of Ningbo Lishe Bonded Logistics Area and the Airport Logistics Area(phase I) , Ningbo is becoming an airport freight distribution center at the south part of the Yangtze River Delta. The airport transport network will continue to expand Ningbo’s foreign trade scale and push the development of Ningbo export-oriented economy.
