Smart City Expo China 2012 to be held in Ningbo

The second Smart City Expo China is set to be opened in Ningbo from Sept. 7 to 9. According to news from the first preparation meeting, preparations were well underway and over 20 famous enterprises from home and abroad have expressed their intentions to come, including IBM, Microsoft, Siemens, Tata, Huawei, ZTE and so on. 
Last September, 310 enterprises (including 12 Top 500 Global corporations) attended the first session of the expo and visitors totaled 52,000. Sixteen investment projects worth of 6.5 bln yuan were scheduled to be built in Ningbo.
The second expo is still sponsored by the following departments: Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, SARFT, CAS, CAE, China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom and Ningbo Government. The theme of the expo is to build a smart city via smart applications. And the expo will include three parts, exhibition, forum and site meeting of smart city construction.
The exhibition is held at Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center, with 1,000 booths in 20,000 square meters of exhibition area. And the promotions are going smoothly. The forum will be held in the form of a summit forum plus many sub-forums. And the site meeting of smart city construction will include introductions of overall situation of the smart city construction and experience on industrial application as well as the field trips, aiming at publicizing successful cases application solutions in building a smart city
