Zhenhai had a “double harvest” on both domestic and foreign trade

According to the latest statistics, export of Zhenhai district reached 3.1 billion US dollars, up by 8.02% over the year before. The increase rate ranked No.1 among eleven districts (cities) and three development zones, which surpassed the municipal and provincial increase rate by 7 percentage points and 4 percentage points respectively.

Technological innovation and brand construction are the shining points for Zhenhai to further improve its market competitiveness of export products. In 2012, some key enterprises such as Ningbo ALPS Electric Co.Ltd., depend on technology innovation and high-tech technology force, realized huge increase on export. It is estimated that in 2012, export of high-tech products in Zhenhai reached 210 million US dollars, which increased by 59.93% compared with last year and occupied 6.8% of total export of this district.

Faced with unfavorable situations for export, Zhenhai district optimized its working mechanism, strengthened the policy guidance, accelerated project construction of the service sector, advanced comprehensive experiment units’ reform on tertiary industry, expanded business and capital introduction and service-oriented enterprises cultivation, which boosted service-oriented economy. According to the statistics, the added value of the service industry in Zhenhai reached 13.3 billon yuan, up by 13.7% over last year. The increase rate ranked No.1 in Ningbo, higher than the municipal average by 2.8 percentage points.
