Outsourcing service of Ningbo to break 10 billion yuan this year

According to the statistics from Ningbo Foreign Economy and Trade Bureau, in the last year, the total turnover of the outsourced services in Ningbo reaches 8.564 billion yuan, increased by 30.95% over the same period of last year. Of the total, the value of the offshore outsourced services reaches 381 million US dollars, increased by 40.07%. By the end of 2011, the city had 608 outsource service enterprises involving 25,700 people.

Outsourcing service is characteristic of high technology element, high added value, low resource consumption and low environment pollution and for this it is called a "green engine". In the last year, Ningbo put outsourcing service into one of the key modern service industries in the 12th Five-Year-Plan Period and decided that by 2015 the output value of the service shall reach 20 billion yuan, including 850 million yuan for offshore service outsourcing, and the annual growth rate shall reach 25%.

For this target, Ningbo put aside funds of 10 million yuan, for the support of enterprises in outsourcing service for their operation, international certification and talent training. In the same year, the city strengthened the construction of some key industrial parks for outsourcing service.

A number of quality outsourcing service programs were settled in Ningbo. In May last year, IBM Smart Logistic Center opened in Ningbo National Hi-tech Zone and in the future it will gather over 100 software enterprises and 5,000 people. The annual output of software and outsourcing service will reach over 500 million yuan.

So far, the sources of the outsourcing service programs are from 82 countries and regions, with USA being the biggest source of offshore outsourcing service for Ningbo. It is reported that in 2012 Ningbo will make great efforts to expand the major contracting countries and make Ningbo more famous in this respect. In the year, Ningbo will have its outsourcing service break through 10 billion yuan
