Export to FTA countries reaching 1.3 billion dollars

According to Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, from this January to August export via Ningbo to FTA countries and regions reaches 45,800 batches valuing 1.293 billion US dollars, increased by 5.28% and 3.69% respectively compared with the same period of last year.

In recent years, China has established free-trade zones with 20 countries and regions, including ASEAN countries, Chile, New Zealand, Peru and Costa Rica. With the free trade zones, the reduced tariff and reduction of trade barrier have effectively promoted bilateral economy and trade exchanges. As long as export companies apply for certificate of origin of FTA from Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, they can enjoy related tariff reductions preferential policies. According to statistics, from this January to August, Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has signed 35,300 preferential C.Os., amounting to 1.219 billion US dollar, increased by 11.55% and 16.53% respectively over the same period of last year.

FTA countries keep high demand on consumer goods, especially textiles and garments, electric appliances, lamps and lanterns, valves, plastic products and electric wires. Of these products, the export of small household appliances and garments reaches 248 million US dollar and 165 million US dollar respectively.
