Container throughput of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port rises by 12.7%

The production report shows that from October 1 to 7, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port Group completed a container throughput of 892,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%.
From October 1 to 7, several container ships were busy carrying out loading and unloading operations in the Chuanshan Port area of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. During the National Day holiday, Beilun Third Container Terminal Co., Ltd. paid timely attention to the dynamic information of ships, scientifically allocated terminal operation resources, and customized the “one ship, one case, one plan” services, to improve operation efficiency and compress non-operation time. During the National Day holiday, Meishan Port completed a total of 209,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of over 50%, running towards the “10 million TEUs” target for the fourth quarter with strong momentum.

Meanwhile, Beilun First Container Terminal Co., Ltd. released real-time site and equipment information to promote the smooth operation of sea-rail intermodal transportation and improve service satisfaction. From October 1 to 7, the Beilun Port Railway Station completed a sea-rail intermodal transportation volume of 16,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of over 10%.
During the National Day holiday, Daxie Container Terminal Co., Ltd. arranged duty personnel reasonably, made advance route planning, paid attention to on-site container information, and took advantage of equipment downtime in production operations to ensure efficient and orderly operation of container production in Daxie Port area. Within seven days, the cumulative container throughput was 81,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%.
The Jintang Port area located in Zhoushan was also bustling with boats and trucks shuttling back and forth. Yongzhou Container Terminal Co. Ltd. completed a container throughput of 63,000 TEUs during the seven-day National Day holiday, a year-on-year increase of over 50%, setting a new historical high for the same period; There were 67 ships operating at the port, a year-on-year increase of over 20%
