In recent years, the competitiveness of China’s new energy vehicles in the international market has been continuously enhanced. According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from January to September this year, China’s new energy vehicle exports were 928,000, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%.
“The cars we export are basically our own brands, such as Geely (Zeekr), BYD, Changan, etc., and the main export destinations are Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe and Central Asia.” CITIC Gangtong International Logistics Co., Ltd. is responsible for the overall planning, construction and operation of the Meishan International Automobile Logistics Center project, and Zhang Peng, deputy general manager of the company, said that they provide “one-stop” comprehensive services for the export of new energy vehicles, including port collection, logistics, testing and packing.
Zhang Peng said that the “stacked” packing method launched by the Ningbo maritime department and the ship inspection agency has benefited the company a lot. This packing method can achieve “one box and multiple vehicles”, and the space utilization rate can be increased by up to 80%, and the transportation efficiency can be increased by about 60%.
In the past, the containers used to carry 10,000 cars can now carry 16,000 vehicles through the “stacking” packing method, and the comprehensive transportation cost has dropped by nearly 40%, and the average container can save 1,000 yuan
