Ningbo Shopping Festival to transform

It is learned from the related conferences held by Ningbo Municipal Government on May 8 that this year’s shopping festival, with the goal of demonstrating high-end brands and intelligence, internationalization and marketization, will be put in the position of a well-known shopping festival in the Yangtze River Delta.
The biggest innovation of this year’s shopping festival lies in the fact that the organization is led by the municipal government and jointly hosted by the six downtown districts including Haishu district, Yinzhou District, Jiangdong District, Jiangbei District, Beilun District and Zhenhai district. By fully integrating the resources from all the districts, the shopping festival boasts more participating enterprises, more activities and better-known brands. With the theme of “happy shopping, fashionable life and satisfying consumption”, the festival will launch such activities with high participation as products promotions, car shows, movies and TV shows, and food carnivals. At the same time, some featured brand activities will be carried out, including the world famous brand exhibition, Hong Kong jewelry exhibition, and the exhibition of international customized private products.
This year's shopping festival will go out of Ningbo to the whole Yangtze River Delta region, to attract more outside consumers and to build the Ningbo Shopping Festival brand. Before the opening of the festival, the organizing committee will conduct press conferences in Zhoushan, Taizhou and other places for the promotion of the festival. A series of interactive activities including free access to scenic spots and direct tourist buses to the surrounding cities, will be carried out to show the integration of trade, tourism and culture. In addition, Ancient Nantang Street and the Drum Tower Shopping street will see the cultural promotion and exhibition activities for the provincial and municipal time-honored brands during the festival.
