Thailand is a hot destination for Ningbo tourists. But as some demonstrations have broken out in Bangkok, some international flights have been canceled. For this reason, many travel agencies of Ningbo have suspended some package tours to Thailand. At the Gulou Pedestrian Street, we find many travel agencies have canceled the plans of organizing package tours to Thailand. Some booked tours are modified in itineraries. Some have been changed into tours to Phuket Island or to Singapore, Malaysia and other destinations. Bi Yanhong of the CYTS Ningbo Branch says: We’ve basically stopped arranging tours to Thailand. The tours already booked will be suspended too. Though the Thailand crisis came unexpectedly, the travel agencies were quite responsive in coping with it. They either informed tourists or changed the itineraries to ensure safety of tourists. But the travel agencies say the suspense is temporary. So long as the situation there turns stable, they will resume the tours to Thailand. Add your comment
