Guangming bulk cargo terminal received a 10,000 T vessel

A vessel with 18000 tons of coal from Qinhuangdao successfully called at the 50,000 T Guangming bulk cargo terminal of Beilun a couple of days ago. This was the first time that a vessel of this tonnage got anchored in the terminal, signifying that the transfer capacity of the Beilun Port has come on a new stage. The Guangming terminal is the largest one in the north Chuanshan Port. It is located at the northern side of the Chuanshan peninsula, having a 50,000 T and a 20,000 T berths. Meanwhile, it can receive two 30,000 T vessels of bulk cargoes at the same time. In addition, it has a 10,000 T berth, capable of receiving three 500 T barges at the same time. The handling capacity reached eight million tons, with total investment of 906 million yuan. As an important coal terminal and a transfer base of bulk goods, the project started to be built in September 2008. It can further alleviate the transport pressure of the market demand on coals and can improve the investment environment. Meanwhile, it can improve the transshipment capacity of the port and help to solve the bottleneck problem of port logistics of Beilun.
