Recently, Cixi-Romanian Chamber of Commerse has been settled in the capital of Romania, Bucharest. This is the first overseas chamber of commerse of both Cixi and Ningbo in East-central Europe. Xu Feihong, Ambassador of China in Romania attended the launching ceremony and gave a speech.

Romania is an important country in China's One Belt One Road initiative. With its desirable geographical location, including the largest port in the Black Sea, Constanta, Romania is an important channel for the communication between China and Europe while Romania is in great need of infrastructure construction with which China can help out by delivering technology and financial support. Besides, Romania has a lot of untapped clean energy and tourist resources worth exploring.

Xu Feihong said, Ningbo plays a significant role in promoting cooperation between East-central Europe and China. Ningbo has held 2015 and 2016 China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo successively. He hoped the new chamber of Commerse would cooperate with other overseas Chinese associations to enhance the communication between the embassy and overseas Chinese to protect people concerned
