On March 24, a spring outing program opened in Qianshuiwan Farm, Yinzhou
An opening ceremony was held in Ningbo last Friday, celebrating the foundation of the Guizhou Province Chamber of Commerce.
Currently, nearly 400,000 people from Guizhou Province are living and working in Ningbo. Ningbo has seen more and more Guizhou people running enterprises in Ningbo. Wang Kangxia, head of the first session of Guizhou Province Chamber of Commerce in Ningbo, said, “our organization is not only a platform for economic exchanges between the two provinces, but also to a ‘home’ to Guizhou entrepreneurs in Ningbo.” The Chamber of Commerce is committed to promoting exchanges and mutual help among its members, and step up economic cooperation between Guizhou and Ningbo.
On March 29, the 9th China International Stationery and Gift Expo opened in Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center. On the day, it had about 10,000 merchants.
The expo is jointed hosted China Council for Promotion of International Trade and Ningbo Municipal Government. It has such activities as purchasing, forums and exchanges of human resources. The products include stationary and office utensils, handicrafts, gifts and stationery production equipments. Apart from the over 600 companies from Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shanghai and Fujian, there are companies from USA, Japan, Indonesia and other countries and regions.
The expo has also quite lots of big purchasers: World Top 500 stationery companies Staples Office Depot, and supermarkets Carrefour, Metro, Tesco and Auchan. Many foreign merchants have entrusted Ningbo Trade Promotion Association for the purchase
After the success of building the imported wine market, Ningbo Free Trade Zone has taken another step in building demonstrative international trade zones: a market of imported food of over 100 varieties opened on March 28.
It is reported that the project of the building of imported food has started. The first phase of this project has an area of 14,000 sq m and it will be open in June this year. With over 30 importing businesses on the market, it will be a quite influential distributing center of imported food.
The building of imported food opened on March 28 covers an area of 1,200 square meters. It has imported food from dozens of countries and regions: fruits from Southeast Asia, snacks from South Korea, olive oil from Spain and milk powder from Holland.
So far 10 importing merchants have settled in the market. One of them is Ganglong Fruit Company, which imports 13 fruits imported from USA, Chili and Australia.
The secured import channels and preferential price makes Ningbo Free Trade Zone a perfect place for imported goods. Taking the market of imported wine for example, in the past years, the transaction volume amounts to 8.91 million litres, making it China's largest professional real market of imported wine.
