Early rice planting starts in Ningbo

On April 8, Lu Fangxing, a farmer with 600 mu of early rice fields in the Cailangqiao Village of Jiangshan Town of Yinzhou District, was busy with the mechanized planting of early rice in his fields.
At present, the major rice planters in Ningbo have started the early rice planting for the harvest of the coming year. It is reported that in 2020 the total area of early rice fields will amount to 165,000 mu, with a slight increase over last year. Despite the influence of the epidemic situation, most of the planters are confident that they can guarantee the food security just as usual
