Job market hot for Zhejiang Textile & Fashion College graduates

A job fair for the 2014 graduates was held last Friday in Zhejiang Textile & Fashion College. According to the organizing committee, college graduates in Ningbo are facing better employment prospects this year. Four in ten graduates in Zhejiang Textile & Fashion College had signed employment agreements before the job fair was held.

The job fair held last Friday attracted more than 300 companies, which provides 4,800 jobs, including 40 percent textiles and clothing jobs, 15 percent electronic machinery jobs and 20 percent marketing jobs.

According to Mao, director of Admissions and Employment Office in Zhejiang Textile & Fashion College, for the 3,163 graduates in 2014, almost every one has obtained more than one job offer now. It is not difficult for them to find a job.

The number of university graduates in China is reported to exceed 7 million in 2014.  Despite the generally-tough job market, the graduates of Zhejiang Textile & Fashion College effortlessly adapted to the tough job market. Four in ten graduates in Zhejiang Textile & Fashion College had secured employment agreements before the job fair held on Friday. Another 1,136 graduates signed preliminary employment agreements on the fair.

Mao shared their tips for staying afloat in today's grim job market. The school has been adjusting its majors and curriculum to meet the demand of the local economy. Take its monorail program, a new program staring in 2013, as an example. Its first graduates were fully employed in 2013. All the 50 graduates in 2014 were again hired by a monorail operating company.
