Job Fair for College Students Held in Ningbo

On the afternoon of April 29, the matchmaking fair for college students was held in Ningbo University. 65 corporations enlisted in “3315 plan” came for talents and there were more than 150 enterprises and municipal institutions to offer job (internship) opportunities and pioneering support .

APP development, with a double higher fat salary, crowns the job application

Here is the background information. “3315” for Ningbo people is a synonym for  well-educated elites and teams.  The government plans to take five or ten years (from 2011 on) to introduce a group of high-level talents from overseas and render them with generous support, scattering and cultivating them around in various development zones, scientific research institutions and research parks, and Creative Parks. This plan is dedicated to enlist 30 of these talents into “The Recruitment Program of Global Experts” on state level,300 of them into “The Recruitment Program of Global Experts” on provincial level, and 1000 into municipal level. Besides, 5000 of innovative and entrepreneurial talents recruited from overseas are to be added. All above plan is called “3315”for short.

 

Yesterday, it was the first time for so many “lofty and high-end” 3315 enterprises to gather in one employment fair. It appeared that these enterprises are attractive to college graduates. Under the scorching sun, the graduates with resume crowded the fair and elbowed their way to haunt a job or internship opportunity. Singly the number of college undergraduates reached up to about 5000.

Who is the tight talent?

Seeing around, the reporter found that jobs concerned with App development are most popular. Almost all the corporations which might have something to do with IT business, or even those biotechnology firms or material companies are recruiting students who are skilled in App development.

In the modern society anyone who has a smart phone in hand must be familiar with APP. The software we installed in our cellphone like Wechat, QQ, Microblog and Beauty Camera all belong to APP. The talents who are skilled in App development, in laymen’ s terms, are devoted to develop third-party applications for cellphone.

Mr. Feng, the deputy management of Ningbo Chuangyuan Information Technology Inc is in bad need of App development talents. “We only have one engineer who is capable of developing App, so he has been really busy and struggling. We have been posting the App development jobs for months but given that this kind of talents are really tight it is hard for us to get some. We offer 70 grands a year for undergraduates employees, but if we get experienced talents, 100 grands should not be a problem.”

“What’s your specific requirement?”

“Only that you are up to this job. Bring a App work if ever participated in any teamwork, or bring your own app especially if had experience in App development alone. That would be persuasive. But it’s okay if your app is just designed for fun and has not put into commercial practice. You can cultivate that ability after you get into our company. ”

The reporter found that the common starting salary offered by most companies on the scene is from 2800 to 3200 yuan. However, the starting salary for undergraduates who are skilled in App developing is usually above 6000, and quite some are above 8000. After some interviewing questions, the employer emphasized, “it is only for the beginning. If you are skillful and a quick learner, salary could never be a problem. You might even get extra bonus.”
