Four Sino-foreign cooperative colleges to be built in Ningbo

In the following years, Ningbo will cooperate with famous overseas universities to build four Sino-foreign cooperative colleges in the city.
As is planned, Ningbo University will cooperate with such famous overseas universities as the University of Wisconsin to establish an international joint graduate school, with the aim of educating high-level international talents and achieving joint technological research and development. The initial construction of the school will be completed at the beginning of 2014, and it will enroll 500 students, with over 20% of them being foreign students.
Ningbo University of Technology will cooperate with Tongji University and a German university to establish the Sino-German Automobile College, providing such undergraduate courses as vehicle engineering and automobile services. Zhejiang Textile & Fashion College will cooperate with a British university to establish a Sino-British Fashion College, providing such undergraduate courses as fashion design and cooperating with related enterprises to cultivate internationalized talents and develop technologies.
Meanwhile, based on the TAFE College, co-established by Ningbo City College of Vocational Technology, Ningbo Foreign Affairs School and TAFE College in Sydney, Australia, the Ningbo International Vocational College, with an integration of high-school education and vocational education, will be established to perfect the modern vocational education system up to the international standard. It is reported that the college will be put into use in early 2015, with 2000 students enrolled.
