The 1st Ningbo-US Educational Cooperation & Exchange Meeting was held in Milwaukee, the biggest city and lake port in Wisconsin State on September 10. At the meeting, 13 educational cooperation agreements were signed, including those between Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Education and the Milwaukee School of Wisconsin University, between Zhejiang Wanli University and Northern Illinois University, and between Ningbo High School and Solomon High School. The delegates from two sides communicated with each other and discussed about related projects.
The United States have always been an important partner for Ningbo in the field of educational cooperation. By promoting constant cooperation, launching innovative models and expanding cooperative fields, the two parties have made significant achievement in such fields as cooperative education, student (and teacher) exchange and research cooperation. In 2013, Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Education signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Washington D. C. Education Bureau at the Sino-US Educational Cooperation & Exchange Meeting held in Ningbo. So far, universities in Ningbo have established cooperative relationship with 75 American educations, and 12 pairs of primary or middle schools have become sister schools. There are now more than 10 educational cooperation projects and over 100 exchange projects.

The Ningbo-Hong Kong students exchange meeting was held on the morning of August 1. At the meeting, representatives from the educational departments of the two cities as well as representatives of students engaged in internship and training attended the meeting to exchange their ideas in learning and cooperation.
At the meeting, many exchange students shared their experience and ideas. A student graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University shared with others his experience in Hong Kong. When he first arrived in Hong Kong as one of new students from the mainland China, some volunteers offered to teach them Cantonese and made them company during the traditional festivals.
