Recently, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port has attracted "cargo kings" from the sea to berth.
On July 5, the 400000 ton ore carrier "Brazil" slowly docked at berth 1 of the Shulanghu Ore Transfer Terminal in Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, marking that all 68 of the world's largest 400000 ton ore carriers have docked at Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. In April this year, berth 4 of the container terminal in the Chuanshan Port area also welcomed the world's largest container ship, the "Mediterranean Irina".
The popularity of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port is inseparable from the "smart" guarantee provided by Ningbo Customs for overtime work.
It is reported that Beilun Customs, under the jurisdiction of Ningbo Customs, innovatively uses a contactless ship health quarantine system. Through remote video monitoring, crew members are arranged to take temperature measurements in batches according to
requirements. All quarantine work can be completed in less than half an hour, and then ship operations are arranged by the dock.
In the first half of this year, Ningbo Customs quarantined and supervised a total of 5085 inbound and outbound ships, and released 108883 electronic health declaration cards through online verification. By strengthening quarantine supervision services and applying intelligent quarantine methods, the cumulative time reduction of vessel stay in port was about 1800 hours. In order to ensure the rapid flow of port berths, we are on standby 365 days and 24 hours a day to solve the difficulties of crew turnover, medical treatment, and excessive overtime needs of enterprises, ensuring the smooth entry and operation of international vessels." said Liu Tianqiang, the head of the Ship Management Department of the Chuanshan Office of Beilun Customs.
