The Municipal Transportation Bureau and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group announced on April 29 that the world's largest cargo throughput port, Ningbo Zhoushan Port, and 62 shipping companies around the world have realized data information exchange, covering all global routes in Hong Kong. Ningbo Zhoushan Port has become the first port in the country to realize the paperless operation and the visualization of logistics nodes in the whole process of container import and export.

In the foreign trade process, the goods from factories are sold to the whole world by sea, and it is often necessary to contact the shipping companies through the freight forwarding companies. In the interim, the freight forwarder needs to know the schedule and container information from the websites of major shipping companies, print the packing list, and send it to the truck driver by the runners. Then the truck driver will go to the yard to pick up the empty containers and go to the factory to have them loaded and finally shipped according to the schedule.

Since there was no unified integration platform for the data of major shipping companies, it required a live order for the shipping agent to decide the scheduled period and for the runners to give the appointment code to the driver. "After the

runners give us the container pickup list, we have to go to various yards for empty boxes, and it would take no less than a day or two." The truck driver had much to say about it.

A year ago, based on the container yard reservation box system introduced by the Municipal Transportation Bureau, Ningbo Zhoushan Port has made a breakthrough other than the shipping company, allowing the information of the dock, yard and freight forwarding company to be shared and realized paperless business throughout the container import business.

Since May 2018, Ningbo Zhoushan Port has completed the data standard unification and sharing exchange of more than 60 shipping companies, realizing system interconnection and data intercommunication of five ports engaged in export container business in Ningbo, 28 warehouses outside the port, and more than 200 booking freight forwarding companies, more than 1,200 actual box users, 28,000 truck drivers, so that the container list that was originally available in two days can be received through the mobile phone in a few seconds, and the subsequent fast and precise container claim can be realized.

In 2018, the container throughput of Ningbo Zhoushan Port reached 26.351 million TEUs. The truck driver said: "In the past, when the dock or the yard was busy, I had to go to several places to pick up the container. Now I can immediately know where there is a box just by checking my mobile phone. I can make an appointment in advance and go to the place to scan the QR code. I no longer have to run in vain or queue."

According to the current annual import and export container of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, the total operation time of the container import and export can be reduced by 7 million hours per year after the whole process of container import and export operation; the fuel cost is reduced by 120 million yuan; the carbon dioxide emission is reduced by 44,000 tons; There are 63 million papers of various types of documents; the economic cost can be reduced to more than 150 million yuan for the logistics industry, which will reduce the long-term queue of trucks in Zhoushan Port of Ningbo and the congestion of surrounding roads, and effectively improve the working environment of the truck drivers
