According to the latest analysis report of Ningbo Port Index released by the Ningbo Shipping Exchange, the port prosperity index in July was 114 points (100 points is the dividing line), a month-on-month decrease of 6% and a year-on-year decrease of 5.4%; the port enterprise confidence index was 111.7 points (100 points was Divide line), up 2.1% month-on-month and 4.3% year-on-year.

First LNG bonded warehouse in Zhejiang Province put into operation in Ningbo

“The formal operation of LNG bonded warehouse has laid a solid foundation for the further development of LNG transit trade and offshore filling of bonded natural gas. Meanwhile, it will provide support for the city to build an international important energy supply chain center and explore offshore trade of energy commodities.” said a person in charge from Ningbo Free Trade Office on the morning of July 30, when speaking of the free trade innovations in Ningbo.

On the morning of July 30, in Ningbo section of Zhejiang Free Trade Zone, CNOOC Zhejiang LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal bonded warehouse successfully received and unloaded LNG from the “Traiano Knutsen” Ship, becoming the first LNG bonded warehouse in Zhejiang Province to receive and unload bonded LNG cargo, and marking the official operation of the first LNG bonded warehouse in the province.

The LNG bonded warehouse is a full capacity LNG concrete tank with a net capacity of 160,000 cubic meters. This tank can supply gas for Zhejiang Province for two and a half days.

Container throughput of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port exceeding 10 million TEUs

According to the data of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation, from January to April, the cargo throughput of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port was 398.358 million tons, up by 15.1% year on year. The container throughput reached 10.4 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 25.6%.
To be specific, in April, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port achieved a cargo throughput of 105.099 million tons, up by 9.8%, and a container throughput of 2.713 million TEUs, up by 26.8% over the same period of last year.
Since the beginning of this year, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port has actively responded to the transportation pressure brought about by the improvement of the global economy and trade environment, and taken various measures to solve the problem of shortage in the shipping market. From January to April, 59 empty container vessels were added, bringing about 2.41 million TEUs of empty containers.
