To commemorate the upcoming 1200 anniversary of the founding of Ningbo, a calligraphy exhibition hosted by Tianyi Pavilion Museum and Ningbo Poetry Society of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference opened in Tianyi Pavilion on

August 4, exhibiting more than 70 calligraphers from Haishu District, reviewing the historical achievements of Ningbo's construction and looking forward to its future in the form of exquisite poetry and calligraphy.

This is an exhibition which perfectly integrates verses and calligraphy. In the first year of Emperor Muzong of Tang Dynasty, Han Cha, the governor of Mingzhou, moved the state of Mingzhou from Yinjiang to Sanjiangkou and built an inner city, marking the beginning of Mingzhou (now Ningbo). From ancient times to the present, many literati and writers have left moving poems in Ningbo.

This exhibition carefully selects classic poems from Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republic of China and contemporary poets chanting Ningbo, Siming Mountain, Haishu Tower, Dongqian Lake, Moon Lake, Tianyi Pavilion, Baoguo Temple, Taoyuan Academy, etc. Among them, the visitors in the exhibition hall can taste the words that have been circulated for thousands of years, following Wang Anshi, Zeng Gong, Sima Guang and other literary masters to travel through time and space and appreciate the historical and cultural style of Ningbo and poems reflecting the achievements of contemporary Ningbo's economic development. Poetry and calligraphy are both external and internal, and jointly promote the development of Ningbo's history and culture and promote the development of Ningbo's "Four Knowledge" spirit.

This is also a vivid demonstration lesson of local history and culture. The staff of Tianyi Pavilion Museum said that there is a huge team of young people learning calligraphy in Ningbo. The exhibition is a good window for them to learn about the rich history and culture of their hometown through the art of calligraphy. The staff member said: "For example, you can understand the origin of Haishu Tower. Shen Mingchen, one of the three "commoner poets" during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, wrote in the article "Haishu Tower": The view of Haishu Tower newly built by the prefect is superior to that of previous Mingzhou...In the high and deep places of Danshan and Chishui, only Gan Tang chanted prefect Cai. Cai was Cai Guiyi, who served as the prefect of Ningbo in 1585. After the Drum Tower was rebuilt, he named it “Haishu Tower”.”

The staff also mentioned Liu Xun, the governor of Mingzhou in Song Dynasty, who dredged the Moon Lake to form a "Ten Islands" scenic spot, wrote "Ten Islands in West Lake", and sang harmony with Wang Gen, Shu Dan, and Chen Guan, that is, the famous " Harmony Poems on Ten Islands ", which opened the chapter of Moon Lake poetry. The staff member said: "I hope that more people can wander among these calligraphy boutiques, feel the influence of traditional art, and jointly taste the charm of the history and culture of Ningbo as an ancient city."

At the opening ceremony, Mao Yanping, chairman of Haishu District Calligraphy Association, and Zhao Xiang, vice chairman of Haishu District Calligraphy Association, presented calligraphy works to Tianyi Pavilion Museum. The exhibition will last until September 6
