Ningbo Hengfeng Creative Square opened

On October 20, Hengfeng Creative Square, a place for industrial design and creative industrial enterprises, officially opened. On the same day, a meeting on promoting industrial upgrading was held. Lu Yongxiang, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and other Zhejang and Ningbo provincial government officials including Wang Huizhong, Mao Guanglie, Liu Qi, Zhu Tao, Chen Xin, Yu Hongyi, Wang Jianbo, Guo Zhengwei and Wang Jiankang cut the ribbon at an opening ceremony of the square. Hengfeng Creative Square is an important step Ningbo has taken to promote the creativity and development capacity of the city. It is also an important way for Ningbo to promote its industrial upgrading. The square is on the bank of the Yongjiang River, with a floorspace of about 340,000 square meters, and the investment totaling 3 billion yuan. Its construction started in April 2009. So far, some 61 famous designing institutions from home and abroad have settled in it. By 2013, it expects to have the number increased to 100. By 2015, the annual output of the enterprises is estimated to be over 2 billion yuan.
