Distinguished Achievement Award for Ningbo's smart-city construction

News came from 2011 China urban informationization development conference that Ningbo is awarded the "Distinguished Achievement Award" for its achievements in smart-city construction, together with other six cities and areas such as Beijing and Pudong District in Shanghai. This is the highest award of this year's assessment of the achievements in urban informationization development all over China.

This assessment is conducted by China Information Society. Being the only one assessing program officially permitted by the government, it is the most authoritative channel for the publishing of the achievements in the field of informationization. Aiming at setting an example for urban informationizing application, publishing urban informationizing achievements, encouraging innovative application of urban informationization, promoting the experience exchange on urban informationization and demonstrating the new urban informationizing technologies, the assessment attracted the attention of over 80 informationization departments and IT firms.
