Lithium battery patent report released

The first lithium battery patent report in Ningbo was released recently. The report, on which the Ningbo Material Institution of the Chinese Academy of Science has spent three months, sorts through the global patent "family tree" of the silicon-based negative electrode of lithium batteries and serves as the direction marker for the development of the lithium battery industry in Ningbo and even the whole China.
The capacity of the silicon-based negative electrode lithium batteries is ten times higher than that of the carbon-based negative electrode lithium batteries. "By utilizing the silicon-based negative electrode materials, the lithium storage capacity of the battery may increase by over 50%, thus greatly increasing the lasting capability of the battery and meeting the demands of the electric vehicle batteries."
According to Liu Zhaoping, who is in charge of the report, in the research of the silicon-based negative electrode of lithium batteries, the Ningbo Material Institution of the Chinese Academy of Science has made plenty of achievements by adopting the modified graphene technology.
