Jiangbei District to launch the "beautiful countryside" tourism

Over 500 citizens took part in the one-day "beautiful countryside" tourist activity on February 7 and 8 and enjoyed the "slowing-down life" in Anshan Village and Maodai Village of Jiangbei District. The activity marked the beginning of the "beautiful countryside" series tourism campaign in Jiangbei District, which will last for a year.
The activity was jointed held by Jiangbei Office of Rural Affairs and Ningbo Kanghui International Tourist Agency. At Anshan Village, the tourists stepped on the tour trail and went sightseeing in the mountain forests. At Maodai Village, a provincial ecological village, the tourists tasted the local dishes, made rice-cakes with the local people, visited the ecological breeding base for giant salamander, enjoyed the Yue Opera performance and went to dig bamboo shoots behind the village. According to a Mr. Su, the tourists can escape from the stress and slow down their living pace by taking part in such activities.
According to Yang Jianrong, Deputy-director of Jiangbei Office of Rural Affairs, the series tourist activities aim to encourage the citizens to visit the countryside to see the great changes in the rural areas and experience the local customs. It is said that the activity will last for a year, including the spring sightseeing tours, summer holidaying, farm picking tours and Spring Festival cultural tours.
It is said that the Spring Festival folk cultural tours will be held on every Saturday before March 15.
