On the evening of March 27, the World Drama Day, the dance drama "Mulan" by Ningbo Performance & Arts Group was staged in Chengdu.
The original dance drama, staged at the Sichuan Grand Theatre, attracted over 1,000 Chengdu citizens. The unique stage design integrated with the traditional Chinese culture elements helped to convey the patriotic feelings of the heroin Hua Mulan to the audience. At the end of the performance, the performers made five curtain calls and the applause of the audience lasted for over six minutes.
As

is reported, the dance drama was staged in Chengdu for the first time on September 17, 2020. The successive three performances became a great sensation then. It is a pity that there was a limited attendance rate of 30% at that time because of the COVID-19 epidemic. Half a year later, the dance drama came to Chengdu again, and the pre-sale box office of the two performances exceeded one million yuan.
According to Xiao Ping, Director of Ningbo Performance & Arts Group, after the tour performance of the first half of the year, the drama "Mulan" will return to Ningbo on May 8 and 9 to perform on the Natural Stage of Ningbo for the local citizens
