Ningbo ranks No.5 in intelligent manufacturing index list

On January 17, the 21st Century Industrial Research Institute released the “2019 China Intelligent Manufacturing Index (CIMI) Report”, the first intelligent manufacturing index independently issued by a domestic think tank. Ningbo ranked No.5 in the “Urban Intelligent Manufacturing Index List”, with Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing and Hefei being the top four.
The so-called intelligent manufacturing refers to a human-machine integrated intelligent system composed of intelligent machines and human experts. Through the cooperation between people and intelligent machines, the system can expand, extend and partially replace the mental labor of human experts in the manufacturing process. By extending the concept of manufacturing automation, the flexible, intelligent and highly integrated manufacturing has been realized.
According to the 2019 CIMI list, the top ten go to Guangdong Province, Jiangsu Province, Beijing, Zhejiang Province, Shandong Province, Henan Province, Shanghai, Hubei Province, Fujian Province and Hunan Province. With the good industrial environment, robust industrial development strength and high technological support, Guangdong Province ranks No.1 in the list.
