Ningbo session of Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week to be held

According to Ningbo Office of Taiwan Affairs, the Ningbo session of the 2019 Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week will begin on September 18. It will attract about 300 scholars or prominent experts of such fields as intelligent manufacturing of Internet of Things, polymers, semi-conductor industry, cultural, creative and design industry, education and health, cultural tourism, big health and fine agriculture in both Taiwan and the Chinese mainland, to gather in Ningbo and seek for cooperation for the new chances of digital economy.
With the theme of "integrated development and cooperation for win-win result",
the event aims to expand exchanges and cooperation, enhance brotherhood, promote mutual benefit and win-win situation and achieve common development. This is the fourth consecutive year for Ningbo to hold the special session of Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week, which is of great significance for promoting the deep integration of cross-strait economic and cultural cooperation, expanding and deepening economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Taiwan and Ningbo, strengthening the construction of the innovation platform for Ningbo's "246" billion-level industrial clusters, and accelerating the transformation and upgrading of Ningbo's traditional advantageous industries. The event will adopt the "1 plus 10" model, consisting of the launching ceremony of the Ningbo special session of the 2019 Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week, some special activities and visiting and inspection activities.
Among others, the launching ceremony of the Ningbo session of the cooperation week, as well as the docking meeting of the cross-strait intelligent manufacturing industries is the highlight of the event, jointly sponsored by Ningbo Municipal Government, Zhejiang Provincial Office of Taiwan Affairs, the provincial Business Department, the provincial commission of Economy and Information Technology, and the provincial Department of Science and Technology, and hosted by Ningbo Office of Taiwan Affairs and Ningbo Economic and Information Technology Bureau. With a larger scale, higher level and more latest concepts, the launching ceremony will consist of the guest speeches, the project signing and the keynote speeches. By inviting the prominent experts for the fields concerned from Taiwan and the Chinese mainland to explore the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry of Ningbo, the session aims to find out the cooperative strategies and platforms for the intelligent manufacturing fields, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the traditional advantageous industries and promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
The ten major activities include the Ningbo tour of Taiwan management and technical experts, the Ningbo-Taiwan educational cooperation and exchange activity, Ningbo cultural tourism promotion activity, the Ningbo-Taiwan medical and health exchanges, the cross-strait intelligent manufacturing forum and application seminar for industrial Internet of Things, the Beilun docking meeting for semi-conductor enterprises from Taiwan, the cross-strait big health industrial forum, the Yuyao-Taiwan rural renovation docking and exchange activity, the Zhenhai-Taiwan cooperative forum for cultural and creative industry, and Yinzhou-Taiwan exchange forum for software information industry, all undertaken by the departments concerned from the counties or districts, industrial parks and governments. They will hold exchange and cooperation with the institutions and industrial experts concerned from Taiwan, in such fields as education, culture and tourism, the youth innovation and entrepreneurship, the cultural and creative agricultural cooperation, the medical and health cooperation, the docking between the industrial Internet of Things and intelligent manufacturing, the docking of semi-conductor projects, and the internet-related issues, to promote the win-win and shared development of Ningbo and Taiwan.
As is known, during the 2019 Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week,Ningbowill sign the agreements for six major Taiwan-invested projects, with the total investment of 3.5 billion yuan, in such fields as intelligent manufacturing, big health, green petrochemical and cultural and creative industry
