On April 9th, it was learned from Ningbo Customs that since the official implementation of the cross-border e-commerce new policy, the cross-border e-commerce business of the Ningbo Bonded Zone in the first quarter has a good start. The import declaration list was 16.017 million, and the value of goods reached 2.95 billion yuan, an increase of 72.3% and 84.7% over the same period of 2018. The growth trend is among the best in the country.

It is reported that cosmetics, health food, baby products are the top three commodity categories of imported goods, of which the value of imported cosmetics reached 950 million yuan, accounting for more than 30%, becoming the most popular commodity for cross-border e-commerce. Import in March were particularly eye-catching. Driven by e-commerce promotions, the list of import declarations in this month reached 6.768 million, with a value of 1.28 billion yuan, an increase of 46.5% and 58.4% respectively from February.

The relevant person in charge of the bonded area customs said that in the first quarter of 2019, the guarantees and insurance policies by enterprises

reached a total of 252 million yuan, and the renewal of the letter of guarantee policy achieved seamless transition for the first time, which greatly eased the pressure on corporate funds and further improved the level of cross-border trade facilitation. At the same time, the new mode of “central inspection, decentralized warehousing and multi-point release” is implemented in the bonded warehouse. The whole process of electronic customs clearance and full chain supervision has greatly improved the efficiency of cross-border e-commerce operations.

Up to now, more than 600 cross-border e-commerce pilot enterprises have been approved to enter Ningbo Bonded Zone.
