CPI in November Grows by 2.3% Year on Year

On the afternoon of December 9, Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Ningbo announced that the November CPI of Ningbo urban residents grew by 2.3% year on year, an increase higher than October by 0.3 per cent. From January to November this year, the CPI grew by 2.1% year on year.
In November, the prices of goods and services of 8 categories all went up compared with the same period last year. Among them, health care, clothing, food, and other articles and services increased 4.4%, 4.3%, 3.5% and 3.4% respectively and residence, education, culture and recreation, household articles and services and transportation and communication increased by 1.2%, 1.2%, 0.7% and 0.6% respectively.
From the month-on-month changes of the prices, the CPI decreased by 0.1% from October. The price of the pork decreased by 3.1%, the price of apples, oranges and bananas down by 1.1%, the price of the plane tickets and the fares of travel agencies down by 16.2% and 3.1% and the price of platinum jewelry down by 4.5%
