The 7th Ningbo Innovation Contest Closed

The 7th Ningbo Innovation Contest was closed on November 11. This contest gave out more than 210 awards with premium totaling 669,000 yuan, both of which reached recorded high. Yu Hongyi, a member of municipal standing committee and also vice mayor, presented the awards to the winners.
It is learned that the contest was co-sponsored by Ningbo Sci-tech Bureau and Hi-tech Zone Administration Committee, taking the theme of “Invention creating value and innovation stimulating vitality”. Compared to previous contests, it has more varieties and higher level, especially new materials and energy saving and environmental protection inventions.
This contest has collected 1295 items with an increase of 28.4%, among which there are 768 innovation awards and 509 design awards, up 17.5% and 49.7% respectively. After several rounds of appraisal and election, 116 won innovation awards and 76 design awards.
Besides, the contest this year had three new activities: the first 10 invention stars in Ningbo, the contest logo competition and collecting of slogans for the Contest. Nie Tongyuan as well as other nine people gained the title of Ningbo top 10 invention stars and other eight items gained the awards for contest logo design and public signs
