The quality of export good enjoys a remarkable improvement in the first half of this year

Recently, Ningbo Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has released the Ningbo Import and Export Commodity quality and safety briefing in the first half of the year. It shows that the quality of exported products significantly improved in the first half of 2012.

Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau exported 277,000 batches of commodities in the first half of this year, worth $ 8.97 billion. Inspection and quarantine bureau detected a total of 743 batches of substandard goods, worth $ 15,626,000, reduced by 36.2% and 71.5% respectively. Among them, 709 batches of substandard exports are industrial products, worth $15,041,000. The amount of substandard product has decreased by 40.9% year on year.

The main problem of substandard exports of industrial products is unqualified specifications, mainly related to the exports of clothing, lamps and small appliances and other goods

In addition, the detected substandard food and agricultural products in the first half of 2012 amount to 34 batches, decreased by 50.7% year on year, worth $ 583,000. The main problem of unqualified export food and agricultural products is the unqualified quarantine project, mainly related to the export of nursery stock and other goods.

In the first half of this year, the returned goods of export commodities significantly reduced. The return rate due to goods quality is declining. 751 batches of export commodities are returned, worth $ 31,981,000, decreased by 15.1% and 5.4% respectively.

The main reasons for the return of export goods are quality problems, technical barriers, changes of customer demands, and transportation.

In terms of the countries and regions where the export products are returned, the European Union, the United States and Japan ranks the top three. While the returned products from Singapore, Australia and the European Union has been significantly reduced.
