Ningbo-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Forum to be held

News came on September 3 from the second meeting held by the organizing committee of 2012 Ningbo-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Forum that this year's forum will make new breakthroughs in terms of both content and form, and all the preparatory jobs are well under way. Hong Jiaxiang, Vice-mayor and Vice-director of the organizing committee attended the meeting.

It is learned that the content of this year's forum will closely follow the central work of the municipal government and party committee. With the theme of "steady progress and mutual development" and the overall requirement of "six quickening" strategy, the forum will focus on building a modern international port city, comprehensively enhancing the level of cooperation and exchange between Ningbo and Hong Kong, and striving for the integrated development of Ningbo's economy and society.

Rich in content and form, the forum is expected to expand the scope of cooperation and exchange between the two cities. It will be the first time for such activities as Ningbo-Hong Kong Port & Shipping Services Development Forum, Ningbo's Internationalization Strategy Research Roundtable and the Bay Economy Development Forum (and Sanmen Bay area promotion) to be carried out during the session of the economic cooperation forum. Other small forums for education, health and culture will promote the wider and deeper cooperation and exchange between the two cities in the related fields.
The 2012 Ningbo-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Forum will be held from September 17 to 19.
