The China Marine Economy and Investment Fair is to open on a larger scale this year. It will consist of the 2nd Marine Economy and Investment Fair, the 8th China Ocean Forum and the 1st (South) China International Seafood Expo, a big event of the blue seas. According to the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Marine Economy and Investment Fair,

With the three events combined, it is a better way to display the new technologies and new products of the marine economy, and to discuss the strategies of the development of marine economy. The Marine Economy and Investment Fair will be in three exhibition hall of Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center, and the area for the exhibition totals 20,000 square meters. It will have an exhibition area for the state, an area for the coastal provinces and cities, and an exhibition area for the 1st (South) China International Seafood Expo.

The 1st (South) China International Seafood Expo is so far the highest grade seafood expo of China. The 8th China Ocean Forum takes "sustainable marine development" as its theme and it will have over 200 scholars participating in symposiums of the marine industrial development, key industrial technologies and the comprehensive development of islands. In the forum, experts will announce the results of the special 908 project of the State Oceanic Administration.
