Six Themed Tours to Appear in Ningbo Metropolitan Area

Follow the scent of books to wander on the ‘road of Tang poetry’, come to Mount Putuo, Xuedou Temple and Guoqing temple to pray for the heavenly Buddhist land on the sea, enjoy a spacious view of the blue bay intersperse with islands…… At the opening ceremony of 2020 Yangtze River Delta Travel Agent Conference, Ningbo, Taizhou and Zhoushan, three cities included in Ningbo Metropolitan Area jointly launched six themed tours in autumn and winter. The six themed tours include traveling with Tang poetry, traveling for praying, traveling for refreshment, traveling for business, traveling for delicacy, and traveling around islands, which makes more choices for people traveling around picturesque Zhejiang’.

It is learned that the conference was co-hosted by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Cultural and Tourism and Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, organized by Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism. As an important supporting activity for

the Maritime Silk Road Culture and Tourism Expo, it is Ningbo’s attempt to unit 16 core cities in Yangtze River Delta region to create a vigorous cultural and tourism market of openness and cooperation, which can promote the integration of culture and tourism in the Yangtze River Delta.

Under the circumstance of regular epidemic prevention and control, short-distance tours, traveling around city and within specific areas have been the mainstream in tourism market. This September, guided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the department of culture and tourism of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui Provinces established the “Yangtze River Delta Tourism Promotion League” to help each other with marketing, promotion and tourist exchanges, thus building an integrated tourism marketing network. With Shanghai as the center and Yangtze River Delta market as target, Ningbo first planed and held “To See the Sea along the Canal”2020 Ningbo Culture and Tourism Yangtze River Delta Promotion Season to carry out the culture and tourism activities.

At this conference, more than 100 travel agents from cities in the Yangtze River Delta region and Top 100 travel agencies from Chengdu, Qingdao, Chongqing and other cities arrived in Ningbo for a close experience, further negotiation and promotion
