Ningbo Zoushu Inheritance Base settles in Xianxiang

On the evening of November 6, the unveiling ceremony of the national intangible cultural heritage project Ningbo Zoushu Base and the performance of the troupe were held in Xianliu Village, Xianxiang Town.

Ningbo Zoushu is a traditional Quyi and one of the four major Quyis in Zhejiang Province. It has a profound mass base in Ningbo. In 2008, it was included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection lists.

After investigations by various departments, in 2019, Ningbo Zoushu Protection Unit was changed to Xianliu Village, Xianxiang Town, Yinzhou District.

Xianxiang is home to folk culture and art in Zhejiang Province, and it is also a town of intangible cultural heritage. In Xianxiang, the custom of singing books has a long history, and the local Quyi represented by Ningbo Zoushu has been deeply loved by the masses. To this end, the cultural department of Yinzhou District and Xianxiang Town started the first batch of intangible cultural heritage art performance in the cultural auditoriums of the four villages of Xianxiang town. More than 100 sessions will be arranged in a year so that more people can feel the charm of traditional folk art in Ningbo.

It is learned that Yinzhou District has also established the Children's Zoushu Education Practice Base in Huatai Primary School, Ningbo Children's Xiaodiao(a kind of Quyi) Education Practice Base in Southeast Primary School to promote the development of campus art performance education and the inheritance of Zoushu
