Merchants of Zhejiang origin invested 27 billion yuan in Ningbo in 2012

According to a meeting on the economic cooperation of Ningbo, in 2012, the investment by investors of Zhejiang origin totals 27.365 billion yuan.

Early this year, the bidding for the land for the Headquarter Building of Chamber of Ningbo Merchants in Shenzhen was completed. This project is invested by 6 merchants of Zhejiang origin and total investment amounts to 1 billion yuan.

In late 2012, the 600-million-yuan project of Hong Kong Plaza in Ninghai, by Sun Qilie, a merchant of Ningbo origin, started its construction. The 800-million-yuan project of Huarong Modern City in Fenghua, by Shu Man, a Shenzhen merchant of Ningbo origin, the 3.89-billion-yuan project of Ningbo Zhenhai Huadong Logistic and Trade City, by Zhang Guobiao, a famous Shanghai merchant of Zhejiang origin, and Zhongzhi Smart Industrial Park and a number of projects of advanced manufacturing industry modern service industry are pushing forward.

The statistics show that in 2012 the actual domestic investment in Ningbo reaches 56.256 billion yuan, involving 62 key industrial projects.

Alcohol imports via Ningbo Bonded Logistics Center increase steadily

In recent years, China has become the fastest growing market for consumption of alcohol in the whole world. According to statistics, from January to February this year, a total of 490,000 liters of alcohol was imported via Lishe Bonded Logistics Center, with a value of US$1.64 million, up by 25.6% and 13.9% respectively. In terms of the country of origin, imports from France and Italy account for 84.8% of the total imports of alcohol. In terms of category, the imports of wine dominate. In the first two months this year, 390,000 liters of wine were imported, accounting for the 79.6% of the total imports. 
To further the inspection and supervision of imported alcohol via Lishe Bonded Logistics Center, inspection and quarantine departments have taken a number of measures. Firstly, the label inspection has been strengthened to make sure that the labels can truly and accurately reflect the characteristics and information. Secondly, publicizing campaigns for laws and regulations have been launched to enhance the importers’ sense of responsibility of food quality and safety. Thirdly, the on-site supervision and inspection of the food warehouses have been undertaken to examine the rectification of unqualified labels and prevent the imports of any substandard alcoholic products. Fourthly, the access system for imported food has been further standardized by keeping records of the beyond-the-border alcoholic product exporters, import agents and domestic consignees. Fifthly, the importers are required to establish the record-keeping system for food imports and sales, and the inspection departments will carry out regular supervision and inspection on the implementation of the system.

Circular industry chain in Ninghai Bay continue to optimize

It is learned from the Circular Economic Development Zone of Ninghai Bay on March 6 that SCR project of ZECT has been completed and put into operation, and the power plant's project of the comprehensive utilization of solid wastes is ready to start construction, which mark the optimization of the "extending chain" of the circular industry in Ninghai Bay area and the further improvement of the core competitiveness of the region.

In 2013, the Administrative Committee of the Circular Economic Development Zone of Ninghai Bay will deepen the implementation of the strategy of developing the zone by strengthening ecological construction, industries, tourism and marine economy, and highlight the four tasks of strengthening the industrial investment, making tourism breakthroughs, enhancing construction and transforming attitudes. By accelerating new industrialization, urbanization and urban-rural integration, the committee aims to promote the circular economy and the development and fusion of tourism and holiday industry.

35 Fenghua enterprises seek talents in Ningbo

On February 22nd, the 24th Ningbo Job Fair for University and College Graduates was held in Ningbo International Convention & Exhibition Center. 35 enterprises from Fenghua were at the fair to recruit employers.

  The 35 enterprises plan to recruit 367 employees for 121 positions. Graduates majoring in mechanics, electronics, marketing and financial accounting are most needed. Many enterprises put up recruitment ads to attract job seekers. In front of the booths of some famous enterprises such as Ningbo Romon E-commerce Co., Ltd and Zhejiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, applicants have lined up in long queues.

   “If we don’t take the initiative, talents will go to other enterprises. Our company not only participate in various job fairs, but also ask some famous human resource companies to seek talents for us and that has achieved good results”, said the HR manager from Ningbo Comfort Health Equipment Co., Ltd.

   It is learned that many Fenghua enterprises have tried various ways to recruit employees. They have set up stalls at railway stations and villages to attract job seekers, directly recruit graduates from colleges and universities and establish internship bases in cooperation with colleges and universities. These enterprises also care about how to retain their employees: they should promote their credibility and integrity and effectively implement the agreed payment and treatment. Moreover, they should communicate with their employees and care about their life, work, and families and so on. According to statistics, over 60 job seekers have reached initial employment intentions with Fenghua enterprises.
