Seven ecology promotion projects to be launched in Dongqian Lake Area

In the core area of the Dongqian Lake New Town, the project of upgrading No.8 road to provincial road will be completed. In the meanwhile, some projects will be continued, including the southern extension of the Fuqing road, the southern extension of the East ring road and the “single-horn” intersection project, which will significantly optimize the traffic conditions in the area. There will be 72 projects to be carried out this year, with an annual investment of 6.8 billion yuan, and the projects on people’s livelihood account for more than half of them.

With such activities as “effective investment year”, “relocation for reconstruction year” and “tourism breakthrough year”, the Management Committee of Dongqian Lake Resort Area will hold the opportunity to implement the “seven promotion projects”. By speeding up the construction of the ecological and leisure resort, it will make breakthroughs in building the core area of the new town, transforming the waterfront area of the old town and optimizing the rural tourist area, to form a special lake area in the city.

800 mlnYuan Invested to Improve Drinking Water Quality in Xiangshan

 These days, transport and construction vehicles have been shuttling in the construction site of reconstruction and extension project of Shipu Waterworks, a section of Xiangshan rural drinking water security project. Busy scenes are presented here. Currently, main parts of the reconstruction and extension project are completed, including a filter chamber, two sedimentation tanks and a clear water reservoir, all of which are newly constructed.

　　It was said that the Xiangshan rural drinking water security project, which was launched in 2008, had the total investment up to 800 million yuan. It mainly consists of region networking water supply project, town-village networking water supply project and water improvements of general program. Xiangshan peninsula is composed of 18 towns, countries, or streets, covering over 400 villages. In terms of drinking water security, the people here are concerned in the project, which is unprecedentedly the largest drinking water project in this region. In 2012, 135 million yuan was invested it, of which, region networking water supply project accounted for over 100 million yuan, town-village networking water supply project 26 million yuan and water improvements of general program 6.33 million yuan.

　　According to the plan, another investment worth of 52.06 million yuan will be injected into the Xiangshan rural drinking water security project, of which, region networking water supply project will account for 36.7 million yuan, town-village networking water supply project 10.92 million yuan and water improvements of general program 4.44 million yuan. Part of the investment will be used for laying town-village networking pipes of 110 km.

　　It is said that the next focus of the project will be management after construction and monitoring of water quality.

2.4 billion yuan for returning projects in Yuyao

Recently, Yuyao County has been awarded for the first time the “bronze medal” for promoting Ningbo’s development by supporting the entrepreneurship and innovation of returned businessmen with Zhejiang origin. 
Implementing the returning projects (for businessmen with Zhejiang or Yuyao origin) is an important policy for Yuyao County, in accordance with the overall arrangements by the provincial government and Ningbo municipal government. To promote the task, the mechanism of supporting innovations by entrepreneurs of Zhejiang origin has been adopted. Governments and departments of all levels have list in their annual working plans such tasks as supporting ventures and innovations by returned entrepreneurs and implementing returned projects. With the strengthened coordination and responsibility-undertaking mechanism, all the related departments and related leaders have formed the working pattern of correlation and cooperation. With the six related documents on supporting returned entrepreneurs to start businesses and implement innovations, Yuyao County has established the overall objective of implementing the returned projects by entrepreneurs of Zhejiang and Yuyao origin.

Beilun pays more attention on self-innovation protection

Facing bottleneck in innovation and R&D as well as more intensive patent wars, Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property in Ningbo is on its way in becoming an important means to strengthen IPR and its ability to defense against risks. In the inaugural ceremony of APIP held on Mar. 12th,autorities from Beilun Science and Technology Bureau said that based on this platform, Beilun would continue to improve its science and technology innovation system by integrating government, industry, university, research and application, further its strategies on IPR and facilitate upgrade of industries.
It is acknowledged that Beilun has been encouraging industries, colleges and universities and patent agencies to establish APIP since 2012. At present, 57 members voluntarily join the association, including enterprises like Haitian and Geely, institutes like Ningbo College of Profession and Technology, and patent agencies like Desheng, putting the idea of integrating industries, universities and application into practice.
“While most associations are initiated by governments, following top-to-bottom pattern; we give more initiative to companies, following bottom-to-top pattern”, said Li Weiping, Deputy General Manager of Geely Holding Group which served as the president of APIP.
