Ningbo Commodity Exchange launching new bidding model
The first bulk commodity bidding (auction) transaction was completed smoothly in Ningbo Commodity Exchange on November 28. The target commodity was the 1# copper wires entrusted by Ningbo Huanglong Recycling Resources Group.
As a mature and traditional trading model, bidding and tendering transaction has such disadvantages as great limitations and opaque transaction processes. By combining the traditional trading with E-business, Ningbo Commodity Exchange has achieved the electronic transaction, thus breaking the limitation in time and space to provide 90 "fair, just and open" trading platform for businesses.
it is said that the exchange will gradually launch the trading of other bulk commodities including chemical products, coal, steel and iron, zinc and lead, through the model of bidding and tendering trading.
Large-scale aviation industrial park expected to settle in Ningbo
On the morning of November 28, Vice-mayor Wang Renzhou met the Singapore High-tech Association delegation in Shangri-la Hotel. The delegation has come to make inspections as to whether Ningbo is a suitable location for the Singapore companies to develop the aviation industry and settle down in China. After the inspection, it has signed the cooperation memo with Ningbo Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau.
With the launching of the low-airspace management reform in 2013, the aviation industry will witness the new opportunities for development. Singapore, Asia's top aerospace and commercial aviation hub, takes the lead in the maintenance and renovation services. Wang Renzhou said that if Ningbo and Singapore can make substantive progress in aviation industry cooperation, they can achieve a win-win situation. Chen Zhongshan, Chairman of Singapore High-tech Association, commented that Ningbo is an ideal location for the aviation industrial park with its unique geographic location and well-established economy.
According to the project planning from the association, it will organize experts and entrepreneurs to serve as the investment party from Singapore. As an all-covering partner, the aviation enterprises from Singapore are willing to provide for the aviation industrial park enquires on such affairs as financial investment, designing, construction, operation and management.
Best air quality in ten years
Xu Changcheng, Director of Ningbo Environmental Protection Bureau, said at a media briefing on November 28 that in terms of air quality this year was the best of the past ten years.
Statistics show that by November 25, the excellent rate of air quality in the urban area reached 94.8%, with 103 days of level-one, 210 days of level-two and 17 days of level-three. In 2011, the excellent rate was 88.5%, with 76 days of level-one, 247 days of level-two, 41 days of level-three and one day of level-four. Also according to the statistics, from 2003 to 2011, the average excellent rate remained at 90%, with the record high of 92.1% in 2003 and record low of 86.6% in 2010.
