Ningbo foreign traders sign big contracts in Dubai

On the afternoon of November 16, at the opening ceremony of the "Zhejiang Week ? Ningbo Day" activity of the 2020 Dubai World Expo, as well as the China (Ningbo) - UAE Economic and Trade Docking Fair, Ningbo foreign trade enterprises signed five trade cooperation contracts on the spot with enterprises in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other places, covering such fields as power products, beauty tools, electrical appliances, vehicle accessories and after-sales, with a trade turnover of over US$100 million.
The fair adopted a combination of online and offline modes to realize the docking and negotiation between Ningbo foreign trade enterprises and enterprises in the United Arab Emirates and other countries. On the spot, in accordance with the industrial characteristics of the UAE, Ningbo petroleum and chemical enterprises conducted online docking negotiations with their counterparts in the UAE.
Some specialized economic and trade promotion activities were conducted at the opening ceremony. Zhang Qionghua, chief economist of Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Commerce and deputy director of the Free Trade Office, made an all-round and multi-dimensional promotion to the Ningbo section of Zhejiang Free Trade Zone.
After the opening ceremony, the 2021 China (Ningbo)-Dubai International Consumer Goods Expo was held. Over 100 foreign trade enterprises from Ningbo conducted online interactive negotiations with over 500 purchasers from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Turkey, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan and other Middle East and surrounding countries.
