Cixi sees closer trade ties with CEEC

Cixi, a county-level city in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, has seen increasingly closer trade links with Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) in recent years.

In the first four months of this year, Cixi's trade volume with CEEC surpassed 1.3 billion yuan ($200 million). Specifically, imports surged 48.3 percent year-on-year to 124 million yuan, while exports amounted to 1.206 billion yuan, up 20.36 percent year-on-year.

Numerous local private companies have benefited from closer China-CEEC ties under the Belt and Road Initiative. One such example is Ningbo Careline Electric Appliance Co Ltd. The company's exports of air fryers to Hungry and the Czech Republic achieved triple growth from January to April.

Ningbo's imports from CEEC see robust growth Jan-April

The trade volume between Ningbo and 17 Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) amounted to 11.96 billion yuan ($1.84 billion) in the first four months of this year, a year-on-year growth of 48.8 percent.

Specifically, the city's exports to CEEC stood at 9.27 billion yuan, up 27.9 percent year-on-year, while imports surged 241.2 percent to 2.69 billion yuan.

Private enterprises still take up the lion's share of the city's trade with CEEC. Their trade volume with the 17 countries increased 51.3 percent to 9.49 billion yuan, making up 79.3 percent of the city's total.

Expo to boost China-CEEC economic, trade ties

BEIJING -- Companies in the Central and Eastern European Countries are likely to receive a boost in export orders as Chinese consumers are more familiar with their products.

More than 6,000 buyers from across the country are expected to hunt for deals at the upcoming China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair.

To be held from June 8 to 11 in the eastern city of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, the fair is expected to be attended by over 300 CEEC companies, featuring products including private aircraft from Slovenia, high-end kitchen appliances from the Czech Republic and popular skincare brands from Poland.

Yuyao accelerates building of the intelligent economic demonstration zone

By accelerating the construction of the intelligent economic demonstration zone, Yuyao County has improved its industrial scale with the powerful engine of an intelligent economy.
